Forgot password? How do I change my password?

You can always change your password by accessing the Personal details section of your account. If you have forgotten your password, just enter your email address, and we will send a link to reset your password. If you have forgotten your registered email address, you can always reach out to us using our Contact Us.

How do I update my information?

You can always edit your information in the Personal details section of your account. Your team name, registered email address and date of birth cannot be changed, however.

Why haven’t I received an email after I signed up?

Check the ‘Spam’ folder of your email account, and mark our emails as ‘Not spam’. You also may not have entered the correct email address while signing up. In that case, please Contact Us.

How do I play?

Here’s a detailed description of How to Play on Altletics.

When is the deadline on Altletics?

The deadline ends when the match is scheduled to start.

What if a chosen player doesn’t play?

That’s where the skill of a user comes in. A player who doesn’t play (even if he comes on as a substitute) will not fetch any points.

How many players are needed to create a team?

You need to select 11 players from each match, or slate of matches. You have to choose your team by picking at least one wicketkeeper, two batsmen, one allrounder and two bowlers.

How many players can I choose from one team?

You can choose a maximum of seven players from a single team.

How many captains do I need to choose?

You need to select two captains, who will fetch you double points, from your team.

Till when can I make changes to my team?

You can make unlimited changes to your team till the deadline is reached. After that, you cannot make any change for that particular match, or slate of matches.

When are squads updated with changes?

Whenever we receive information of changes to squads from our service providers, we will update the squads for selection. Keep checking for such updates till the deadline is reached.

Where can I see my team’s rank?

For each match, or slate of matches, a leaderboard that updates frequently will keep you updated with your team rank.

How many teams can I create? Where can I create more teams?

You can create upto 11 teams for each game. In the upcoming matches section, you can just hit "Create team" to make additional teams.

Can I choose which of my teams compete in which contest?

Yes. You can choose and switch any of your teams till the deadline.

How will I score points for my team?

Your team accumulates points based on their real-life performance. You can see our points system here.

How often does the score get updated?

The live scores are updated every few minutes, so make sure you track your progress in real time. Points are not updated before the start of the match.

Where do you get your scores from?

We use third-party service providers for our data. However, we may cross-check scores from other reputed websites, or data from governing bodies too.

Are scores from a Super Over counted?

No.

Will I get points for a player being awarded Player of the Match?

No.

A tie between two or more users. How much should I receive as a prize?

In the event of a tie between two or more users, the prize pool is equally shared and divided by the users who are tied on points.

What happens if a player is sent off for his conduct during a match?

If a player has been sent off for misconduct, as governed by the ICC Playing Conditions for International Matches (effective Sept 28, 2017), he/she will receive points for his contribution during the game till the point he/she was sent off. If he/she returns to the game, he/she will continue to receive points.

How will I know if I have won a contest/prize?

You can track your progress using our leaderboard. We also automatically credit the winnings of a user into the account, after we have verified the scores.

When will I receive my prize?

After a match is completed, we will review the scores we have received. During this period, the status of the game shall be “In review”. This process usually happens within a few hours. However, there are instances where we need to verify the data from several sources. In this case, we may take a longer time to award your prize.

When will my winnings expire?

From the date of credit, you need to withdraw your balance to your bank account within 335 days. If this isn’t completed, we shall initiate an automatic transfer to your bank account provided your bank details have been verified. If your bank details aren’t verified in this period, we shall forfeit your balance.

Which contests can I join?

We have a range of free and paid contests on offer. You can join any of these contests. However, if you reside in Assam, Odisha, Sikkim, Nagaland or Telangana, you are not allowed to participate in our paid contests. However, all our users can join our free contests.

What is a private and public contest?

A private contest allows a user to restrict the participants to a contest. Only users with the unique contest code, which is provided to the user that creates a private contest, can join a private contest. A public contest is open for everyone to join.

Creating a private contest?
  • Just click on the match you want to create a private contest for.
  • Click on the “Create contest” option.
  • Fill in the required details, and create your own private contest.
  • Share the contest code with your friends.
Joining a private contest?

First, you have to create an account with Altletics. Then, you have to create your team for the match. Then, you enter the unique contest code in the “Contests” page. The fees is automatically debited from your account and you are entered into the private contest.

Which contests have single winners and multiple winners?

We will denote this to our users with an icon that is available on the contests page.

What happens if a match is abandoned?

In the case of ODIs and T20Is, all contests are cancelled and entry fees is refunded to the users. However, if the match has a result, even if the match is shortened, then the contests will continue to stand. In rare occasions, when a result or a team’s progress into the tournament is determined solely by (i) a Super Over, (ii) a coin toss, (iii) results of a team’s standings in the prior stage, or any other such method, the entry fees shall be refunded to all users and the contests stand cancelled. The scores of a Super Over shall not be considered for fantasy points.

In the case of a Test or a first-class match, at least one innings should be completed by both teams for the contests to stand. An innings is deemed to be incomplete if a team declares or is bowled out.

If a contest does not fill up, what happens?

For cash contests, the contest shall stand cancelled and the entry fees refunded to the participants.

For which matches can I join contests?

At the start, middle or near the end of a series, doesn’t matter. You can join contests for any match, or slate of matches, that we offer in our upcoming matches page.

Do I create a new team for every match?

Yes.

How are winners determined?

The participant that accumulates the highest points at the end of a match wins.

Can I see other users’ teams?

Yes, but only after the deadline has passed to maintain fairness to all.

Why is there an additional charge included in the entry fees?

We charge a platform fee in order to continually maintain and improve our services.

How does my account work?

Your account has three sections:

  • (i) Deposited: The amount of your deposits. Cannot be withdrawn.
  • (ii) Winnings: Your total winnings from contests entered.
  • (iii) Cash bonus: Your free bonus for contests entered.
How do I earn my cash bonus?

We provide a cash bonus for all users based on the value of contests entered. For every INR 10000 worth of contests entered, we provide a cash bonus worth INR 100 (coming soon).

How can I check my balance?

You can check your account balance at any point by accessing your profile page. Subdivisions of each category are also provided.

I have deposited money. Why isn’t it showing in my balance?

Occasionally, payments are delayed by service providers. Your balance should reflect in your account within two hours. If your balance doesn’t reflect in 24 hours, please feel free to Contact Us.

How is my balance used for contests?

When you join a public contest, the balance shall be debited first from the “Cash bonus” account, followed by the “Deposited” account. Any remaining entry fees to be paid will then be debited from the “Winnings” account of your account.

For private contests, the balance shall first be debited from the “Deposited” account, followed by the “Winnings” account.

How do I process a withdrawal?

When you verify your account, you may request for a withdrawal by accessing your wallet or profile section of your account.

What is the minimum and maximum amount I can withdraw?

You may request for a withdrawal if you have a minimum balance of INR 200 in your “Winnings” account. The maximum withdrawal per transaction is INR 2,00,000. The withdrawn amount shall be deposited in your verified bank account within five working days.

Can I withdraw my cash bonus?

No. You can use the cash bonus to join more contests. If you win an amount after the utilisation of your cash bonus, you are permitted to withdraw that balance.

What bank details do I need to provide to process a withdrawal?

We need to verify your bank details: Name of the bank, Name of the branch, Name of account holder, account number and IFSC code. When these are verified, you may withdraw your balance.

Is the paid version of fantasy cricket legal?

Yes. However, if you reside in Assam, Odisha, Sikkim, Nagaland or Telangana, you are not allowed to participate in our paid contests. However, all our users can join our free contests.

Fantasy sports is considered a game of skill in that success depends predominantly upon the superior knowledge, training, attention, experience and adroitness of the player. All paid contests offered by Altletics are games of skill as success depends on knowledge, judgement and attention of users to win a contest(s).

In a landmark ruling for fantasy games in India, the Punjab & Haryana High Court held that online fantasy games that were offered by an operator were ‘games of skill’ in Indian law and did not constitute gambling.

The High Court also recognised fantasy games as a legitimate business activity protected under the Constitution of India.

Am I allowed to play fantasy cricket if I’m under 18 years old?

No. Our contests are only for users above the age of 18.

Do I have to pay taxes?

Yes.

How and how much taxes do I have to pay? Does Altletics cut any tax?

All prizes shall be subject to deduction of tax ("TDS") as per the Income Tax Act 1961. As of April 1, 2018, the TDS rate prescribed by the Government of India with respect to any prize money amount that is in excess of Rs. 10,000/- is 31.2% of the total prize money amount. If there are any revisions or changes by the Government of India, the aforementioned rate shall be adjusted in the future. Winners shall be provided with TDS certificates for any deduction made by Altletics. The Winners shall be responsible for payment of any other applicable tax, including but not limited to, income tax and gift tax, in respect of the prize money.

Do I need to verify my account to play contests?

No. You can play contests without verifying your account. However, in order to process your withdrawal, you have to verify your account.

How do I verify my account?

There are four steps to verify your account:

  • 1. Phone number: We’ll send an OTP to your number.
  • 2. Email address: We’ll send you an email to verify your email address. If you have signed in through Facebook, your email will automatically be verified.
  • 3. PAN card: Upload your PAN image and fill in your PAN details. We will then verify your details within five working days.
  • 4. Bank statement: Upload your bank statement to us.
Why is PAN necessary for withdrawal?

Since withdrawals involve a transfer of money to your bank account, we need to verify your PAN as a mandatory procedure as a proof of identity.

What if I don’t have a PAN card?

You can still join contests on Altletics. In the meantime, you can apply for a PAN card. When you receive your PAN card, you can upload it to us for verification.

Why did my verification fail?

Your verification may have failed for several reasons. Some of them include:

  • Your PAN filled in does not match with the PAN on your card.
  • Your date of birth entered during our registration process does not match with the date of birth on your PAN.
  • Name on the PAN Card does not match with the name on the bank account.
  • IFSC code entered is incorrect or incomplete. Your money could be transferred to someone else’s account if you enter an incorrect IFSC code. You can find your IFSC code in your passbook or bank statement. If you’re still unsure, you can contact your bank.
  • The documents are not visible or clear.
  • A mismatch of details, such as bank account numbers.

You are not allowed to create multiple accounts on Altletics. If we find a user has created multiple accounts, we reserve the right to forfeit the balance and suspend all accounts.

You are not allowed to submit fake documents or someone else’s documents.

You are not allowed to misuse our cash bonus facility. We reserve the right to forfeit the cash bonus balance.

Is it safe to save my card details on Altletics?

Absolutely. We do not store any of your card details with us. We partner with third-party payment gateways that ensure the safety of all your transactions.

Can I add multiple cards to my account?

Yes.

What types of cards can I save?

We accept all major credit/debit cards other than American Express.
